If someone leaves or enters the cinema while the movie is showing, the door which is right next to the screen will not automatically close, letting light spill into the room. As you can imagine this can be very distracting for patrons. Staff need to fix this asap.

Recommend for indy films only. Not recommended for films that are have state of the art cinematography or sound production.

Once again, not state of the art. Fine for regular movies but you will lose a lot of detail in movies that use advanced sound production.

The room temperature on the day I visited was uncomfortably cold. Way too cold. I hope this was only on the day I visited.

The digital projector is not of the same quality you will find in other cinemas. For movies that deserve the most premium visual presentation I would not recommend this cinema. I'm talking movies like Gravity, Blade Runner, Neon Demon etc, you are going to miss out on important details for movies that use colour and imagery as story telling techniques on this screen. I also noticed the dynamic range is lacking so you miss a lot of colour depth. This is an indy cinema better suited for indy movies that are driven by story telling and dialogue.

Visitors will enjoy the more adult selection of movie snacks including beer and wine besides the more traditional popcorn and lollies.

A charming independent cinema which champions great film is always a good thing. This place is in the same vein as NOVA in Melbourne, or the State Cinema in Hobart.

The canvas used to project onto would be about 4 x 2.5 metres. (at a guess) And the projector has not been set up to project the maximum possible size, so only approx 60% of the canvas is used, making for a small screen size.

Small intimate theatre, comfortable seating, good screen, great movies missed by big commercial complexes. Good coffee & food choices, friendly helpful staff (I'm somewhat physically challenged) - lift available. Great Chinese food outlet almost opposite, liquor & cheese etc outlet next door. Parking in street good. The screen is not the huge mega screen of big theatres, but intimacy a very good sound & film image really was all one needed for a most wonderful time with my dear wife.

Seats are plush, clean, but very upright. The bean bags at the front are a nice touch.

Wonderful Cinema. Licenced, and bean bags in the front row. Have been several times and can't wait to go again and again.
